About Frank

Frank Davis is a landscape ecologist and Distinguished Professor at UC Santa Barbara's Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. He also serves as Executive Director of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network Office and directs the La Kretz Research Center at the UC Sedgwick Reserve. His research uses field experiments, remote sensing, and GIS to investigate the distribution and management of California plant species and ecosystems, climate change effects on species distributions, and the design of protected-area networks.
