AOP Data to Hard Drive Request

There are several ways, users can access airborne data:

  • Download the data from the NEON data portal (recommended for smaller amounts of data)
  • Programmatically access the data with the NEON Data API or using the NEON Utilities GitHub repo (>1 GB downloads)
  • Mail in a hard drive to receive your data

Please fill out the form below if you are interested in receiving a hard drive of AOP data, and we will respond with a recommended hard drive size as well as mailing instructions.

Please note that requesters must mail us a SATA drive at least the size of the data they are requesting. The drive must be blank.

Please upload a description of your request for Airborne data that includes:

  1. A brief project objective and description of what you will use the data for.
  2. A list of field sites, including survey year(s) and types of airborne data you would like. Please be as detailed as possible so we can properly recommend what size hard drive you will need.
  3. Please note that all AOP data are available to download from the NEON data portal and programmatically using the NEON data API. This form should only be used if you are unable to use those methods and would instead prefer a hard drive of data.

To determine what data you want, you will need to browse the NEON data portal.
