It was previously reported that fDOM values (Water Quality data product, DP1.20288.001), measured using older model sensor probes, were artificially low. NEON has retired these probes and replaced them with newer models in which the defect has been corrected. It therefore should not occur in any data collected after June 1st, 2022.
In RELEASE-2022, the phe_statusintensity table in the Plant Phenology data product (DP1.10055.001) did not include observations for the ‘Young leaves’ phenophase for several growth forms for observations made in 2020. These records are also absent in provisional data accessed prior to 2022-10. The processing error that led to omission of these records has been fixed and the data have been reprocessed. 2020 data will be included in RELEASE-2023.
Measurement depths (zOffset in the sensor positions file) are currently reported incorrectly in the Soil water content and salinity data product (DP1.00094.001) at all terrestrial sites; however, the moisture and salinity measurements themselves are not impacted by this issue.
AOP data that were erroneously not included in RELEASE-2022 are now available in that release as well as searchable with LATEST AND PROVISIONAL release tag. For these data products, RELEASE-2022 supersedes RELEASE-2021. Read on to learn more.

NEON recently discovered that the Relative humidity above water on-buoy (DP1.20271.001) data product had been over-flagged with the automated step test. NEON has adjusted the step test threshold and re-processed the data product for all time and all sites where it is produced.
