Bug affecting neonUtilities in latest RStudio version on Windows

The latest RStudio version (2025.09) was released Sept 12, 2025 and appears to have a conflict with the downloader package on Windows. The neonUtilities R package uses the downloader package for flexibility on different operating systems, and data downloads via neonUtilities are currently failing in RStudio 2025.09 on Windows.
The RStudio development team has been notified. In the meantime, we recommend users of neonUtilities on Windows do not update RStudio. We will post an update when more information is available.
