Catch up with the NEON project at #ESA2016!

This weekend, thousands of scientists will journey to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the 101^st annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America (#ESA2016). The theme, “Novel Ecosystems in the Anthropocene,” features sessions that explore the ecological impacts of changing ecosystems. The team from the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON), now operated by Battelle, is excited to attend and talk with scientists about how they plan to use NEON project data in their research and teaching.

Stop by the booth (#432/434)

At the booth, we will have the latest map of completed field sites and information about new ways to use NEON infrastructure for research. Our scientists and new leadership will also be there throughout the week to answer questions about all of Battelle’s environmental offerings and to collect feedback and ideas from the scientific community about how we can best meet your needs. Test-drive the Data Portal

On Mon-Wed, one of our data scientists will be at the booth to demo the NEON data portal and gather feedback about its current and future features. Gaining input from the ecology community is critical to developing a successful data portal and we look forward to talking with you about your data expectations and needs!
