NEON is collaborating with AmeriFlux and CarbonDew to host the workshop Remote Sensing and Fluxes for Real-world Impact: Integration with Advanced Techniques on March 4-5, 2026 in Boulder, CO. The workshop is a unique opportunity to advance your skills in connecting eddy-covariance flux measurements with geospatial data to enhance real-world applications.
The in-person event invites leading researchers, early-career scientists, industry representatives, regulators, land managers, and other stakeholders to refine and apply robust data integration algorithms that unite the benefits of in-situ flux measurements and remote sensing, thereby mitigating their respective drawbacks.

Building on the success of the 2024 “Remote Sensing and Flux Upscaling for Real-World Impact” workshop, this year’s program will deepen technical expertise while fostering cross-sector collaboration and mentorship. Participants will come together to push the boundaries of flux scaling science for real-world applications. Whether your interests lie in science, policy, or sustainability, this workshop offers the tools and connections to translate flux science into actionable solutions.
