Sample IDs have been updated in Sediment data products. They had been incorrect, with station IDs that did not match the named location. Approximately 200 sample IDs were affected, across most sites and through several years. The sample IDs were updated across all data tables.

The sample IDs are primarily used for linking across the various tables, and that linkage has always been preserved; when they were incorrect, they were still consistent across the tables. Therefore the only issue for the data user was if they were extracting the station ID from the character string of the sample ID rather than from the named location field. All data downloaded after March 2020 have the correct sample IDs which match the named locations.
