The Water temperature and conductivity in lakes from subsurface moored array of sensors (DP1.20055.001) data product is now available on the NEON data portal (https://data.neonscience.org/data-products/DP1.20055.001).
This data product contains quality-controlled temperature and specific conductance data from sensors along a vertical profile in lakes. At northern lake sites, the subsurface-mooring enables data collection beneath ice, thus providing year-round lake stratification data. At southern lake sites, the subsurface-mooring is deployed year-round to ensure water column coverage when the lake levels change.
Historical data for NEON lake sites TOOK, CRAM, and LIRO through 2025-06-01 will be included in RELEASE-2026 (expected to be issued in late January 2026). Provisional data is also available for BARC, SUGG, PRPO, and PRLA for all time and TOOK, CRAM, and LIRO after 2025-07-01.
All code used to generate the data product is open-source and available in the NEONScience/NEON-IS-data-processing Github repository. For questions or more information please Contact Us. Select DP1.20055.001 in the data product dropdown list.
