Incorrect Depths Associated with Lake and River Temperature Profiles

February 11, 2022

Provisional and RELEASE-2022 data for Temperature at specific depth in surface water (DP1.20264.001) contains incorrect sensorDepth values at BARC and CRAM for some time ranges.

The sensor_positions files are inconsistent and contain duplicate, incomplete, and/or incorrect information for all buoy sites (SUGG, BARC, CRAM, LIRO, PRPO, PRLA, TOOK, FLNT, BLWA, and TOMB).

Both issues are being prioritized for work to fix with data re-processing. Level 0 data was not impacted and re-processing of the data with correctly assigned depths is possible. Users should reference the following table for correct thermistor depths until re-processed data is available for download on the portal.
