Request Other Samples

NEON collects specimens and samples that complement automated measurements and observations on the ground. These samples may be requested by the community to support further analysis and research. Learn more about available specimens and samples and NEON terrestrial organism sampling methods.

A full set of policies and procedures related to the NEON Samples and Specimens Archive is currently in development. Please use the following interim process to request samples and specimens. Archiving protocols are available upon request. Submit requests and questions by email or through the Request Other Samples online form below. Please request soil samples here. In your request, please include:

  1. Your full name and affiliation
  2. A brief project objective, description and justification for the use of NEON samples
  3. A list of each analysis you will perform
  4. A detailed list of requested samples
