Following the data notification published on November 17, 2020, NEON suspended production of the Canopy Nitrogen, Canopy Xanthophyll, Canopy Lignin and Total biomass data products, and removed already published data products from the NEON data portal.
For a brief period in 2021, the portal mistakenly indicated that these products were available for acquisitions performed during the 2021 flight season. The files associated with the availability were zip files containing geotiffs of only the vegetation indices data product. This zip file previously contained the suspended data products, however, the suspended products were not included in the zip file despite the portal indicating their availability. Other files associated with the suspended data products included standard metadata files and reports provided with the download of any spectrometer data products.
Please note that NEON is not planning to produce any of the suspended data products until further notice. We plan for availability of the suspended data products after an upgrade to the algorithms in order to provide the highest quality data products to our user community.
