NEON Data Workshop - Oregon State University (On-site)
Oct 3, 2025
Hosted By:
NEON
In this on-site workshop on Oct 3 from 1:30-4:30pm PT, NEON staff will provide an overview of NEON, including a look at how NEON data has been used for research in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We will go through a live coding exercise to download and work with the three main NEON data types (instrumented, observational, and remote sensing) in R, and then culminate with a demonstration of some of the remote sensing data in Google Earth Engine, highlighting the McRae Creek site (at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest) and impacts from the recent Lookout Fire in 2023. Attendees will be provided with resources and tools to use NEON data to address their own ecological questions. The resources and tools are available in advance of the workshop by signing up here.
