CoSMic x MICROnet Educator Training Workshop

The Colorado State Microbiome Network (CoSMic) is partnering with the DOE Systems Biology Knowledgebase (KBase) MICROnet to establish a Mountain West Regional Hub for microbiome education and training. If you are interested in bringing microbiome research into your classroom or building collaborations across institutions in the Mountain West, apply to join the program for the 2026-2027 year before March 31. 

Instructors from eligible institutions that apply will be invited to participate in this regional training workshop to learn how to use materials and resources in Microbiome Workforce Development Program, receive course support (i.e. kits, sequencing, compute, MRA publication), and connect with other instructors to develop collaborative questions. Participation includes program support for travel to/from and workshop accommodation. 

At the workshop, NEON will provide an overview of the Observatory and lead a discussion on sampling protocols for water and soils.
