The grass-root network DSOS (Data Science and Open Science) and AEMON-J (Aquatic Ecosystem MOdeling Network - Junior) organize the "Hacking Limnology Virtual Summit and Workshops," a multi-day event of presentations about aquatic research and workshops that include keynote talks and live coding exercises.
The 6th annual "Hacking Limnology" AEMON-J workshop series will take place August 10-13, from 14:00-17:00 UTC (8:00 - 11:00 am MDT) via Zoom, followed by the DSOS Summit August 13-14.
The workshop on Day 3 (August 12), "Linking NEON aquatic observational and instrument data to answer critical questions in aquatic ecology at the continental scale," will focus on linking NEON aquatic macroinvertebrate data with water quality, stream discharge and other sensor data. It will feature a hands-on coding workshop teaching participants how to access, analyze and visualize NEON aquatic data within the R statistical environment.
Registration is free and will remain open until August 8. Register to attend at https://aquaticdatasciopensci.github.io/registration/
