Macrosystems Ecology for All annual meeting

The Macrosystems Ecology for All (MEFA) Research Coordination Network (RCN) is holding its second annual summer meeting to develop new projects and collaborate on existing projects. MEFA emerged from the Ecological Research as Education Network (EREN), which has been a longstanding user of NEON data. 

This will be a hybrid meeting with the option to participate either virtually or in person in Boulder, Colorado. Travel funds are available.

Applications were due March 1 and are now closed.

Entomological Society of America 2023

Entomology 2023 will take place November 5-8, 2023 in National Harbor, MD at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.

Society for Freshwater Science Annual Meeting

Philadelphia, PA

The Society for Freshwater Science (SFS) Annual Meeting provides a platform for scientists and practitioners to exchange freshwater science ideas and promote further understanding of freshwater ecosystems and ecosystems at the interface of aquatic and terrestrial habitats.

Oka' Sustainability Conference

The Oka' Institute's annual conference, now OKA' CON, will be November 8-9, 2023.

"The Oka' Sustainability Conference serves as a crucial platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and ideas on water sustainability," said Dr. Duane Smith, executive director of the Oka’ Institute. "We are excited to bring together experts from various fields to address the pressing challenges facing our water resources and work towards actionable solutions."

AmeriFlux Annual Meeting 2023

The meeting will be hybrid. This meeting is open to anyone who works with eddy covariance flux methods or datasets, including early career scientists. A full in-person meeting will take place in the middle of Massachusetts, US, with visits to the historic Harvard Forest Research site. 

Texas Plant Conservation Conference 2023

The Texas Plant Conservation Conference is a professional-level meeting serving scientists, land managers, state and federal agencies, local governments, and other professionals with an interest in plant conservation in Texas and adjacent regions. Conference attendees explore current research and conservation projects on rare plants, native plant communities, plant monitoring methods, and plant management practices for native Texas plants.

13th International Mammalogical Congress (IMC-13)

A Joint Meeting of the International Federation of Mammalogists and the American Society of Mammalogists

"'The scientific program for the IMC-13 meeting will include symposia, workshops, and plenary speakers, as well as contributed oral and poster presentations. A full social agenda also is being planned and will including field trips and social events. A tentative program schedule is now available, and will be updated as necessary."

Botany 2023

The Botanical Society of America will host Botany 2023 in Boise, Idaho.

"Botany 2023 will be a hybrid conference with a format similar to last year. Symposia and Special Lectures must be presented in person; these presentations will be live-streamed for our virtual attendees and the recordings will become available to all conference attendees via our online platform."

Digital Data 2023: Leveraging Digital Data in Service to Conservation, Ecology, Systematics, Phylogenetics, and Novel Biodiversity Research

"iDigBio, the Natural Science Collections Alliance (NSCA), and Arizona State University (ASU) are delighted to announce the 2023 Digital Data in Biodiversity Research Conference, 5-7 June, with this edition of the conference offering both in-person and virtual participation. We are anticipating a return to interpersonal interaction as well as continuing the option for remote engagement.

SPNHC 2023

Hosted by the California Academy of Sciences, the next meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) will be held in San Francisco, California, US, from May 28 to June 2, 2023.

SPNHC 2023 will be held at the Hilton Union Square in downtown San Francisco.
