Learn more about the National Ecological Observatory Program (NEON) field site at the Leiffer Propery in Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest and enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments with your community!
Since 2012, the NEON team has been monitoring and sampling environmental data in Allenspark. Data on climate and precipitation, habitat structure, organismal populations, and soil biogeochemistry of the soil are being collected from the site to better understand why and how this ecosystem is changing.
This open house will help inform the public of our efforts here prior to our tower permit renewal process with National Park Service for an additional 20 years.
