Mini-Symposium on Integrating Organismal Biology into NEON

Thursday, May 7, five speakers will present talks as part of the mini-symposium, "Integrating Organismal Biology into NEON." The event is hosted by the Integrating Organismal Biology into NEON (IOB) Research Coordination Network (RCN). The IOB is an RCN funded by the NSF whose goal is to increase the number of organismal biologists working with NEON data or at NEON sites. 

The symposium is free and open to all. It will be held in-person on the University of Colorado, Boulder campus in Boulder, CO from 9am - 12:30pm. View this flyer for more information.

• "Exploring the massive links between organisms and the environment with NEON data" - Paula Mabee, NEON Observatory Director and Chief Scientists
• "Leveraging NEON to uncover drivers of biodiversity across scales" - Phoebe Zarnetske, Michigan State University
• "Linking behavior, immunity, infection, and the environment to produce large-scale inference regarding individual variation" - John Orrock, University of Wisconsin, Madison
• "Testing metabolic theory in the field using NEON data" - Joey Bernhardt, University of Guelph
• "Using NEON data to explore historical and contemporary drivers of carabid beetle morphological, biogeographic, and seasonal timing traits" - Sarah Diamond, Case Western Reserve University
