Technician, Airborne Sensor Operations (Remote Sensing)
Rare in today’s Colorado, Michael is a native of Denver and has been lucky enough to stick around Colorado in between stints in Chile and Alaska. Growing up in the city, and finding relief from the congestion by way of fresh mountain air, led him to pursue an interest in the intersection of sprawling civilization and the earth that sustains it. Choosing a broad route, he completed a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Since graduating, Michael has worked on projects related to aquifer mapping through geophysical aerial surveying, groundwater well-field testing and characterization, and reconstruction projects for roads and bridges damaged by the 2013 flood in Colorado. Michael also has a passion for aviation and earned a sport pilot license in 2016. In his free time, he enjoys many outdoor activities from fishing and hunting, to mountain biking and snowboarding.
